Why there is no banner

A consent banner exists to ask permission before a site stores or reads something on your device that it does not strictly need. This site stores nothing of the kind when you arrive. There is no analytics, no audience measurement, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no session recorder, and no third-party font — every byte of this page comes from this domain, so no other company learns your address by you reading it.

There is exactly one cookie here that is not strictly necessary, it is set on exactly one page, and that page asks you first. A question put where it applies is worth more than a wall shown to everyone, and it is what the law asks for rather than a softer substitute.

The two of them

What it does	Keeps you signed in to your account. Set only after you sign in, first-party, and read only by this site and its API.

What it does	Records which partner referred you, so their commission can be calculated if you buy. Set on the partner-link page only, and only if you say yes there.
Consent	Asked before it is set. Declining sets nothing and costs you nothing.

Changing your mind about the partner cookie

Withdrawing consent has to be as easy as giving it. Deleting the lumen_aff cookie in your browser removes it, and nothing re-creates it unless you follow another partner link and say yes again. You can also write to support@lumentv.app and ask us to drop the click record on our side.

Refusing it changes nothing about the price you pay or what the product does. The only thing it changes is whether a partner is credited.

What the television stores

The application on your LG keeps your playlists, favourites, groups, hidden channels, parental locks and where you were in what you were watching, in the television’s own storage. That is not a cookie and it never leaves the set: it is how the app remembers your setup between switching it on and off. Your backup is the only copy that travels, and it travels because you asked it to.

The privacy notice covers everything that is not a cookie: what the account holds, what a television sends, who else sees any of it, and how long any of it is kept.
