What you are agreeing to.
Written to be read. Where the law requires a particular thing to be said, it is said in plain words rather than in the smallest type we could get away with.
1. Who you are contracting with
Erkan Dogru, auto-entrepreneur (entreprise individuelle), registered at 4 rue du Clos Saint-Nicolas, 94510 La Queue-en-Brie, France under [SIREN / RCS], referred to below as “we”. The full details are on the publisher page. Contact: support@lumentv.app.
2. What is sold
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Lumen·TV application on a stated number of LG televisions running webOS 5.0 or later. The licence belongs to you, not to a television: televisions occupy seats on it and you may move a seat between sets as often as you like, from your account.
| Licence | Televisions | Price | Term |
|---|---|---|---|
| One television | 1 | €0.99 | Monthly, cancel at any time |
| Two televisions | 2 | €9.99 | One payment, no renewal |
| Five televisions | 5 | €19.99 | One payment, no renewal |
Prices are in euros and include VAT where it applies. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or hold your card details.
3. What the licence does not cover
This is the article we would most like you to read, and it is here rather than at the bottom because you are entitled to it before you decide.
- No content. Lumen·TV is a player. It does not include, host, resell, aggregate or provide any channel, stream, recording or programme. You supply a playlist from a provider you have your own arrangement with, and you are responsible for holding the rights to what you load into it. We have no relationship with any broadcaster or content provider, and none is implied by a logo the application shows because your own playlist supplied it.
- Nothing about your provider is guaranteed by us. Whether a stream plays, how good it looks, whether the guide is accurate and whether the service stays up are your provider’s doing. We can only play what is sent.
- Recording is not finished. Scheduling, padding and conflict detection are built and tested; writing to a drive depends on the television’s own storage service and is not verified. Do not buy this licence for recording today.
- No catch-up or replay. A deliberate exclusion.
- It has not been run on a real television. As of the date at the top, the application has been verified in a browser and in LG’s own simulator and on no physical set. This is exactly why the trial costs nothing and asks for nothing, and why you should use it before paying.
4. The trial
21 days, free, with no card, no email and no account. It begins the first time the application is opened on a television and it ends by itself. Nothing renews and nothing is charged. One trial per television.
5. Ordering
You order from your phone or a computer: the television shows a code, you sign in and pay on your own device. Before you pay you are shown what you are buying, its total price and these terms; the order is placed when you confirm payment, and it is confirmed to you by the television unlocking and by an email receipt. Ordering requires an account, because a licence has to belong to someone in order to be recovered or moved.
6. Right of withdrawal
You have fourteen days from the day of purchase to withdraw, without giving a reason and without penalty. The withdrawal page carries the form and how to send it.
We do not ask you to waive this right. Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code allows a seller of digital content to have the buyer forgo withdrawal in exchange for immediate delivery — we do not use it, because a 21-day free trial has already answered the question that clause exists for.
7. Cancelling a monthly licence
Cancel from your account, at any time, with no notice and no reason. The licence runs to the end of the period already paid for and does not renew. A one-off licence has nothing to cancel.
8. Updates
Every v1 update is included as it ships. We may change what the application does; where a change removes a feature you have been relying on, article L224-25-25 of the Consumer Code gives you the right to terminate, and we will tell you before it takes effect.
9. If it does not work
You keep the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 and following of the Civil Code). For digital content supplied over time, conformity is owed for the whole time it is supplied. Neither guarantee costs anything and neither is affected by anything on this page.
Write to support@lumentv.app and describe what happens. If we cannot make it work, you are refunded.
10. Suspension
A licence may be suspended where it is being used in a way it plainly was not sold for — one licence shared across households, or an attempt to defeat the seat limit. We say so before doing it and refund the unused part of a monthly period. This is not a route for refusing service for any other reason.
11. Liability
We are liable for the foreseeable loss caused by our own failure, up to the amount you paid for the licence. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited — in particular, nothing here limits the statutory guarantees in article 9. We are not liable for what your IPTV provider does or fails to do.
12. Your data
Covered by the privacy notice, which is part of these terms.
13. Complaints, mediation and law
Write to us first. If we cannot settle it, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator within one year — [MEDIATOR NAME AND ADDRESS] — or use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
French law applies, and that does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
