EPG · XMLTV

An IPTV player with a real TV guide.

Lumen·TV reads the XMLTV guide that goes with your playlist and lays it out as a timeline you page through, across the days your provider publishes, up to seven, with what is on now and next shown over the picture.

21 days free, no card · From €0.99 a month, or €19.99 once for 2 devices

Lumen·TV is an IPTV player for Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV and Android phones and tablets. It needs Android 8.0 or later. It plays the M3U or Xtream Codes playlist you already have, and includes no channels. 21 days free, then €0.99 a month for one device, or €19.99 once for 2 devices, or €29.99 once for 5. The trial needs no card and ends by itself.

What it does.

  • TV guide

A programme guide for every playlist, with now and next over the picture.

  • Instant search

Results while you type, even across 100,000 channels.

  • Recording

Record a programme from the guide on your TV, and watch it when you like.

  • Favourites

Favourite, hide and reorder channels and groups.

Every feature, in detail

Where the guide comes from.

M3U / M3U8

Give the XMLTV address separately if your provider publishes one — it is usually a second link beside the first.

Xtream Codes

Nothing further to enter: the guide comes from the same three fields.

Good to know.

Which IPTV player shows a TV guide for an M3U playlist?

Lumen·TV does, from an XMLTV address you give it with the playlist, from your phone or on the TV: one guide source per playlist. It does not read a guide address written inside the M3U file. An Xtream Codes login needs nothing more, as the guide comes from the same login.

How many days does the guide show?

As many as your provider publishes, up to seven. You page through them half an hour or a day at a time.

Can I use a separate EPG source?

One guide source per playlist: the XMLTV address you give an M3U, or the one your Xtream login derives. Several sources merged into one guide are not part of the app.

Are there guide reminders?

No. Reminders, descriptions inside the timeline and a guide time offset are not part of the app; a programme’s description is shown over the picture.

Can I record from the guide?

On Android TV, yes: record a programme from the guide and watch it when you like. Phones and tablets do not record.

How much does Lumen·TV cost?

21 days free, then €0.99 a month for one device, or €19.99 once for 2 devices, or €29.99 once for 5. The trial needs no card and ends by itself.

What a licence does not cover.

  • No catch-up or replay

A deliberate exclusion, not an oversight. It depends entirely on archive endpoints many providers do not expose, and selling something your provider may not support is worse than not having it.

  • No recording on phones and tablets

Recording is a television feature. The phone and tablet app plays, but does not record.

  • One guide source per playlist

Enough for most households. Several sources merged into one guide, guide reminders, descriptions inside the timeline and a guide time offset are not part of the app.
