EPG · XMLTV

Add a TV guide to your playlist.

Lumen·TV builds its TV guide from an XMLTV file, one per playlist, and shows as many days as your provider publishes, up to seven. Where that file comes from depends on how the playlist was added.

With an Xtream Codes login.

Nothing to do
Lumen·TV asks the same server for its guide, at xmltv.php, with your username and password. Fill in XMLTV EPG URL (optional) only if your provider publishes the guide somewhere else. Signing in with Xtream Codes, step by step.

With an M3U playlist.

An M3U link carries the channels, not the guide, and Lumen·TV does not read a guide address written inside the playlist file itself. Ask your provider for the XMLTV address, usually published beside the playlist link, then send both together.

  1. On the TV, open Settings → Playlists → Add another to show a code, and scan it with your phone.
  2. Paste the same playlist link in Playlist address. Open Add a programme guide or a name and paste the XMLTV address in XMLTV guide · optional.
  3. Select Send to my TV. Lumen·TV recognises the playlist it already has and adds the guide to it, rather than listing the playlist twice.
  4. Open the guide once the file has loaded. A large guide can take a moment.

Adding it another way.

With a new playlist
Give both addresses the first time you send the playlist, in the same two fields on the phone. Adding a playlist from your phone, step by step.
With the remote
The M3U / M3U8 tab of the fields on the TV has the same field, XMLTV EPG URL (optional), under the playlist address.

If the guide stays empty.

The playlist has no guide address
An M3U needs the XMLTV address given to it, as above. An Xtream login never does.
The guide loads but holds no programmes
The address may point at the playlist rather than at an XMLTV guide. Check it with your provider.
Programmes, but none for these channels
The guide and the playlist have to name their channels the same way, by tvg-id. When they do not, nothing can be matched, and only your provider can fix the pair.
The times are shifted
If the guide loads but the times are shifted, your provider is publishing in a different timezone. The app has no guide time offset to correct it.
How many days
As many as your provider publishes, up to seven. You page through them half an hour or a day at a time.
One source per playlist
Several sources merged into one guide are not part of the app, and neither are guide reminders.
