Fire TV · Google TV · Android TV

Install an IPTV player on Fire TV with Downloader.

Lumen·TV is not in the Amazon Appstore: on a Fire TV, as on a Google TV or an Android TV, you install it from this site with the free Downloader app. Enter 8581959, follow four steps, and it opens on its 21-day free trial.

Before you start.

  • A Fire TV with Fire OS 7 or later, or a Google TV or Android TV with Android 8.0 or later. Older Fire TV devices on Fire OS 5 or 6 cannot install it.
  • The TV connected to the internet, and its remote.
  • Nothing to pay and no card: the trial starts the first time you open the app and ends by itself.

Installing it, step by step.

In Downloader, enter

8581959

or lumentv.app/apk

On a Fire TV, Google TV or Android TV

  1. Install Downloader by AFTVnews from the TV’s own app store.
  2. Let Downloader install apps. On a Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps → Downloader. On Google TV and Android TV: Settings → Apps (Device Preferences on older sets) → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources → Downloader. If the setting is not there, turn developer mode on first: select the build number seven times in the TV’s About settings — on a Fire TV, the device name in Settings → My Fire TV → About.
  3. Open Downloader, enter 8581959 and select Go.
  4. Select Install, then open Lumen·TV. The free trial starts there.

Android TV and Google TV with Android 8.0 or later · Fire TV with Fire OS 7 or later

Once it is installed.

Add your playlist
Lumen·TV opens on a QR code. Scan it with your phone and paste your playlist link there: adding a playlist from your phone, step by step.
Updates
From version 1.0.905, a copy installed this way looks for a newer version on this site itself and offers to install it. Your playlists, profiles and settings stay.
On a Fire TV
Tested on Fire TV (Fire OS 7 and later). The 21-day trial starts the first time you open the app, needs no card and ends by itself.

If a step does not work.

Downloader is not in the app store
Search the TV’s own app store for Downloader by AFTVnews: the Amazon Appstore on a Fire TV, Google Play on Google TV and Android TV. It is free.
The code opens nothing
Check the digits, or type lumentv.app/apk in the same box instead: it is the address the code stands for.
The TV refuses to install the file
Downloader is not yet allowed to install apps. Go back to step 2: the setting is given app by app, and it has to be on for Downloader itself.
Checking what you installed
The download page prints the version and the SHA-256 of the file Downloader fetches.

Get Lumen·TV.

Every way to install it is on one page, with the steps for each device. The trial starts the first time you open the app.
