Lumen·TV 1.0.905: updates itself from this website

What changed.

• A newer version, in Settings → About

  When a newer version is published on this site, a dot appears on Settings, and Settings → About says which version is available, with one button: Install the update.

• Downloaded and checked first

  The app downloads the file from lumentv.app and nowhere else, and checks its SHA-256 fingerprint against the published one, and that it is Lumen·TV, before anything is installed. A file that does not match is deleted and nothing is installed.

• You confirm the installation

  Nothing installs by itself: Android shows its own installation screen, and the update is installed when you confirm it there. Your playlists, profiles and settings stay.

• One permission, asked once

  The first time, Android has to let Lumen·TV install apps. Settings → About says so and offers Allow installs, which opens that system setting where the device has it.

• On phones and tablets too

  The app for phones and tablets now looks for a newer version as well, and shows it in its own Settings → About.

If you have 1.0.898

Copies of 1.0.898 do not look for updates. Install the newest file over yours once, the way you installed it the first time; from then on it updates from here.
