Lumen·TV 1.0.931: fifteen languages and crash fixes

Seven more languages, fifteen in all, and the fixes from a search for everything that could still close either Android app, made after the first crash reports came in.

What changed.

  • Seven more languages

Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Greek and Arabic join English, French, German, Spanish, European Portuguese, Italian, Turkish and Simplified Chinese: fifteen languages in all.

  • Arabic, right to left

In Arabic the whole interface is mirrored, except what shows time: the player’s progress bar and the TV guide’s timeline still run from left to right. Numbers are written in Western digits, the ones on the remote.

  • A title listed twice

A provider’s list that names the same episode or the same film twice no longer closes the app when you open the series or, on a phone, the suggestions under a film.

  • Two categories with one name

Two categories with the same name, or a category named like one of the app’s own lists, no longer close the list of categories on the television or the group picker on a phone.

  • Trailers

When the device runs short of memory during a trailer, or the system component that plays trailers is missing or being updated, the trailer stops and the app stays open.

  • A stream that stalls

When a stream stalls and the player replaces its connection to the provider, the app no longer closes. This was the crash reported from a television on 1.0.905.

  • A save that fails

If the device refuses to save your playlists, on a full storage for instance, the app carries on instead of closing each time your list has loaded.

The apps it concerns.

  • Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV: version 1.0.931
  • Android phones and tablets: version 1.0.931
